Hall, Russell & Co.
Founded in Aberdeen as Hall Russell & Co., Engineers and Iron Shipbuilders in 1864. Nationalised as part of the state owned British Shipbuilders in 1977. Privatised again in 1986 and subsequently taken over by A&P Appledore in 1989. Shipbuilding ended in 1990 leaving just ship repair work, but this ceased too and the yard closed in 1992.
