Norse Merchant Ferries

Founded as Merchant Ferries in 1990. Parent company Cenargo acquired Norse Irish Ferries in 1999 and the two companies were merged as Norse Merchant Ferries in 2001. In 2005 the company was sold to A.P. Møller and integrated into their subsidiary Norfolk Line. Norfolk Line was subsequently acquired by DFDS in 2010 but the Irish Sea routes were transferred to Stena Line.
