Whilst on passage from Warrenpoint to Heysham on the evening of January 31st, 2008, the vessel was struck by an abnormal wave during a severe storm. The wave shifted cargo and caused a heavy list and loss of power leading to the vessel being blown ashore on the Fylde coast.
