Cantiere Navale Fratelli Orlando
Livorno, Italy
Founded in 1866. Merged with Cantiere Navale del Muggiano and Cantieri Navali Odero in 1929 to form Cantiere Navale Odero-Terno-Orlando (OTO). Nationalised in 1933 and the yards transferred to Gio. Ansaldo & C. in 1949 but the Livorno yard was demerged in 1963 as Cantiere Navale "Luigi Orlando". Absorbed into Fincantieri in 1984, but closed as uneconomical in 1995. Reopened as Cantiere Navale Fratelli Orlando in 1996 but closed again in 2002 following heavy financial losses.
