Founded by the Soviet Military Administration in 1948. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall the yard was privatised and sold to Detlef Hegemann in 1992. Merged with Volkswerft Stralsund to form P+S Werften in 2010 which filed for insolvency in 2012 and the yard was sold to the Lürssen Group.
