Russian Navy
Founded as the Imperial Russian Navy in 1696. Reformed in 1918 as the Soviet Navy following the Russian Revolution. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 it became first the Navy of the Commonwealth of Independent States and then the Russian Navy in 1992.
